The Facts about Rolled Gold

You should not mistake Rolled Gold or Gold Filled Jewelry for cheap thin GOLD PLATING.

 There is a very big difference.

Rolled Gold has 100 times the amount of gold as gold plate!

Today there are very few Hand-crafted jewelry items made with this metal. Beginners sometimes use the very inferior gold plate to keep the costs down, but be mindful that plated jewelry is considered "costume jewelry", as apposed to the lifetime quality of Gold Filled Jewelry.

Gold Fill, or Rolled Gold, is Fine Jewelry material, and will last a lifetime. 

I use it because it makes good, lifetime and heir loom quality jewelry affordable.

There are a lot more people that can afford a $50 gold filled pendant than can afford a $500 solid gold pendant, and both will last a lifetime!

• 14/20 Rolled Gold wire creates high fashion jewelry at a fraction of the cost and is extremely appealing because there has always been a love affair and a fascination with gold.

• There is 100 times more gold in 14 kt. Rolled Gold (gold filled) than in gold plate.

•  A 14/20 Rolled Gold pendant is usually considered a lifetime piece of jewelry.

•  14/20 Rolled Gold is usually used for pendants, pins, earrings, collars, bracelets, small rings.

•  When shopping for gold-filled wire jewelry, ask for and get the 14/20 gold-filled rather than the 12/20.  I know it may be a dollar or so less expensive, but the 14/20 is much more durable and long lasting. ( I only use 14/20)
